The Perfect Bag is constructed with folded edge piping and full length inside handles for extra durability. The heavy duty material can hold up to 20 lbs and is water resistant and heat resistant up to 275 degrees. The capacity compares to Duro’s 1/6 Barrel Sack and these lightweight, washable bags can be used again and again.

Duro Bag Leads Way With 100% Recycled Handle Bag; Bag Now in Stock

CINCINNATI, OH – Duro Bag, the number one paper bag manufacturer in the world, now has 100% recycled paper handle bags, originally debuted in June, in stock. With more and more U.S. cities looking to follow San Francisco’s lead in banning plastic bags, Duro is ready to meet all demands of their clients wishing to offer an environmentally preferable solution to their customers.

The handle bags, with the “original” handle up design patented by Duro, are made from 100% recycled paper exclusive in North America to Duro Bag. This paper is comprised of 60% post industrial and 40% post consumer fibers. The larger 1/6 size of the bag helps with source reduction at the checkout counter, as it allows for more items to be placed in the bag. By applying more adhesive surface the wider, stand up handles also provide additional carrying strength.

With the 100% recycled handle bags now in stock, being environmentally conscience is just as easy for privately-owned stores as it is for the larger chains because the bags are readily available for purchase in smaller quantities than required for a custom printed order. With a minimum order of only one pallet Duro has placed environmental-consumerism within reach of any supermarket, regardless of size. A single pallet with 400-bag bundles has 7,000 bags and a pallet with 300-bag bundles has 6,000 bags which is also easy to store for the space-conscience retailer.

This stock bag promotes environmental awareness with it’s contemporary design and message. A Six Color “Handle Up” Grocery Paper Bag Machine

The Only One in the World! A Six Color “Handle Up” Grocery Bag Machine

Never ceasing in their quest for innovation, Duro Bag developed a state of the art 6-color “Handle Up” bag machine that is the only machine of its kind in the world. The design went live in November, 2006 for in-house testing and trial bag runs. Information is now being released about the machine in order to market its ability to potential Duro customers.

Globally there are only twelve “Handle Up” bag printing machines which utilize the Flexo print process. Duro holds the patent and rights to the design of the “Handle Up” bag machine and all twelve of the machines only have 3-color printing capability. As demand has been gradually increasing for 6-color bags across other Duro Bag product lines, the Duro engineering team explored the idea of enhancing the 3-color printer design to a 6-color custom-built Flexo machine that would be further enhanced with advanced circuitry and a robust measure of safety components.

According to the story shared by Rob Arnold, Plant Manager for Duro Bag Manufacturing in Alsip, Illinois, “…our team began brainstorming this unique idea, but wanted to do it in such a way that the safety equipment would not be compromised. We began our design process by trying to bump the machine up to a 4-color at the request of the marketing department. We discussed additional design options with Lloyd Cobble and the design team. Within three weeks, we came up with a wonderful solution that provides a 6-color Handle Up grocery bag.”

The prototype bag run resulted in a 6-color Handle-Up Santa bag printed in both Kraft and White paper. The staff loved it.

Currently Duro Bag is seeking eager customers to stretch the capability of this machine in order to generate sample production numbers and performance benchmarks.

As a new “wave” in bag design, Duro is introducing into its Designer bag line this year the Wave Top shopping bag. It boasts a uniquely fresh alternative to conventional paper bags by virtue of its flowing “wave-like” cut-off. Hand-inserted handles finish this serrated edge bag creation.

Primarily featured as an 8” x 4.5” x 10” Tempo bag it can be either preprinted or printed in-line on the bag machine and is available in all standard substrates with a variety of handle options. Duro Bag is exploring offering this style in additional sizes as they show this new design to customers during this year’s trade show period.

The technology of the wave cut shopping bag is what is inherently unique about the bag as it was specifically developed by Duro’s engineering team using specially developed equipment that enables the wave top design cut to be made within the high speed in-line bag production process. Neatly finished with a glue strip that follows the cut line on the bottom of the bag allows Duro to produce a creatively cost-conscious upscale paper bag designed to catch the eye of your customers.
